Invisalign clear aligners are thin clear plastic ‘mouth-guards’ designed to straighten your front 6-8 teeth.

A series of removable aligners is used to move the teeth incrementally according to a treatment plan developed by the orthodontist. Aligner appliances are ideally suited to adult patients whose life-style or work commitments make it difficult for them to wear more visible conventional fixed appliances.

• The dentist takes an impression of the patient’s teeth, which is used to create a digital tooth scan.
• The computerized model suggests stages between the current and desired teeth positions, and aligners are created for each stage.
• Each aligner is worn for 2 weeks full time, day and night except for meal times.
• Progressively, the aligners move the teeth a small distance towards the intended position until the final result is achieved.
