We are Mayfield Dental in South Croydon. We’re a small dedicated dental team located in the heart of the Croydon community.
The practice has been established since 1972. In 2012 Dr Deepali Patel took over the team and under her leadership the practice has continued to thrive – making Mayfield Dental one of the most long-standing and modern dental clinics in South London.
Deepali: I’m Deepali and I’ve been working at this place for about 13 years now, and with over 20 years of working full-time as a dentist, I’m massively passionate about working with nervous patients. Something about getting someone through their treatment and helping them overcome a huge fear for some people that people have a lot of sleepless nights, you know, leading up to the appointment, and it’s nice when they come in over time and build trust, and then actually feel that they can manage and feel comfortable and happy to visit the dentist. That’s important.
We’re based in Croydon, and we do a lot of general dentistry and emergency dentistry to help people plan what treatment they need. We like patients to be involved in their treatment, so we explain things to people, we explain their treatment plan, why they’re getting things done, what the options are, so we have a full chat and then we decide how we’re going to navigate through their treatment plan. We work out of hours, so in those difficult spots at the weekend or a late evening, for example, if you’re in trouble with your teeth, give us a call because we can help you out.

Mayfield Dental welcomes new patients of all ages, for private dentistry. Our modern technology, including intra-oral scanners, intra-oral cameras and digital X-rays, help us to show and explain your proposed dental treatment.
All treatment options will be discussed in depth with you, and tailored to meet your needs, but you will ultimately have the final say.

Free parking is available – there are 3 spaces at the front of the practice and further availiability on neighbouring roads. The practice is step free with disabled facilities. We are also a short walk from Sanderstead and Purley Oaks station, and so easily accessible by bus or train.

Dr Deepali Patel
Principal Dentist

Deepali has been working for over 19 years doing General and Emergency Dentistry. She loves improving peoples confidence to smile again and relieving people in pain/discomfort.
Deepali completed a year long Advanced Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry Course. She can offer a full range of dental care, including orthodontics treatments using Invisalign and Six Month Smiles.
Fun Fact
Out of work, Deepali enjoys socialising with friends and family, especially spending time with her young nephews. She enjoys scuba diving, playing badminton and generally being around nature.

Dr Anika Davis
Oral Surgeon & Implant Specialist

Anika qualified in 2009 from Kings College London and is currently an Oral Surgeon at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.
She has helped bring hospital procedures to Mayfield Dental for around 5 years, helping those tired of waiting on the long NHS lists.
Visiting services she provides include:
- Difficult tooth extractions
- Surgical teeth removal (including impacted wisdom teeth)
- Frenectomy procedures
- Implant placements
Magdalena Karpiak (Madja)
Dental Nurse & OHE

Madja is a Qualified Dental Nurse with NEBDN and joined our dental team in 2015.
She has since become an Oral Health Educator, applying preventative prescribed Fluoride Varnish, to keep us at the forefront of dental care.
Being trained to use our 3D digital scanner, she is able to provide patients with:
